I am ready to order keepsakes. What is the next step?
There are two ways that orders can be placed. Our preferred option is to book a time to meet us in our studio in Chirnside Park. This way you can see some samples, have a look at the fingerprint moulds, and choose which print you would like to use. These consultations can be a really lovely process to go through to design a truly special piece of jewellery to honour your special person.
If you are unable to come into the studio, orders can be placed via email.

What are the keepsakes made of?
Our jewellery is made using either sterling silver, solid 9ct gold or gold plated. We also have some steel vessels which hold a small amount of cremation ashes, as well as a premium range of vessels created in Gold and Silver. Some designs are not available in all options
Which fingerprints were captured?
Where possible, we take impressions of every finger in both silicone moulds and digital images. If we are unable to get a good impression, we may even take a toe print or a knuckle print.
About fingerprint definition and clarity
It is known that everyone has a unique fingerprint, no two are the same. Not only does the whorl pattern differ, so does the depth and clarity of the print. Many factors can cause a persons print to fade, one of them being age. When we are born, our fingerprints are so fine that it is generally impossible to capture enough definition to transfer to jewellery. for this reason, I recommend that children under the age of around 2 have hand and foot prints taken as well.
Old age can also have a significant effect on the definition of our prints, with wrinkles and lines replacing the detail of whorls and swirls that once were there. These lines and wrinkles are just as unique, and beautiful, telling the story of the person who made such an impact on your life.
Other factors such as health, the way the person has passed and how they lived can impact their prints as well. We have developed many techniques over the years to produce the very best possible result.

Can we order multiple keepsakes from the same fingerprint?
Absolutely. We use silicone putty to capture the prints because they are reusable, allowing us to create as many keepsakes as you would like. After your special pieces have been created, and you do not wish to order any more keepsakes, the original moulds are yours to keep.
I'm not ready to order keepsakes. Can I collect the original moulds?
We understand that in certain circumstances, it may be too overwhelming to think about ordering your special keepsakes, or perhaps financially it is not the right time. For any reason you would like the original moulds in your care, please contact us via email, with your postal address and the full name of your loved one, and we can express post them to you ($20 for express postage). Otherwise we can arrange a suitable time for you to collect them. **The person who arranged the print taking service needs to approve this prior to collection or postage.
How long do you keep the impressions?
Please be at ease knowing that we have never, and will never discard of prints, unless requested so in writing, and agreed by all family members. if the time comes that we can no longer store the impressions, we will contact you to collect them, or post them ($35 for express postage)
How long does it take to make the keepsakes?
Depending on our workload, and the time of year, this can vary. Generally our lead time is around 2 months. We take much pride in our workmanship, with most of the designs being hand made in our studio.
Depending on the complexity of the design chosen, this leadtime can be longer or shorter. If you do have a special date you would like it by, please let us know at the time of ordering, and we will do our best to make the requested date. Please keep in mind, that certain times of the year are busier than others, such as Mothers Day, Fathers Day and Christmas, so wait times will be longer around these special times.
We thank you for your patience while your keepsakes are being created.
