A Bit About Koby & Pure Charm Jewellery
I discovered my passion for jewellery making some years ago, working with natural gemstones and beads. When my first son was born, I wanted something that was uniquely from him. My Mum brought to my attention, the concept of being able to take an impression of a fingerprint and turn it into a wearable piece of jewellery, I knew this was just the thing I was looking for. What could be more special and personal than having his little fingerprint always with me as he continues to grow? With the support of my family, I taught myself how to use the products and did a few short courses in jewellery manufacturing.
About 5 years on, I was creating childhood keepsakes from my lounge room, caring for my 2 young boys and also working part time in the family business.
I received a phone call one day requesting my services to capture the fingerprint impressions of a young man who had sadly passed away. It was an idea I had thought about, but not pursued. This opened up a whole new world of possibilities for me. I soon realised that there is a great need for my services in this area and my business was going to take a whole new direction. Once my boys were of school age, I made the scary and exciting decision to move into a retail space, and make this my full time career.
I am so proud of my business and the relationships I have built over the years, and continue to build now.
To have the ability and passion to create something beautiful to comfort people in their darkest times of grief is truly humbling. I thank the families I have worked with for putting their trust in me to do such a special job.
